On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors I welcome you to Barndale School. I hope that our website gives you a glimpse into the life of our school and begins to help you understand ‘The Barndale Way’ of doing things. We are very proud of what our wonderful school can offer your child and family and our website is a good place to find out exactly what you can expect from us. We also have a Facebook page which is regularly updated with what our pupils are doing.

I feel very privileged to be introducing myself as the Headteacher of Barndale School. I have worked in special education for over fifteen years and to be the Headteacher of such a fantastic, friendly and welcoming school is a job I feel very fortunate to have. We have worked incredibly hard over the last five years to really make Barndale the school it is today. Visitors frequently comment on how purposeful our classrooms are- there is a real sense of learning and academic success. We are also very proud that visitors recognise how relationships are at the heart of our school- ensuring pupils are safe, supported and cared for. 

The positive, warm atmosphere and commitment from staff to providing the best possible education, opportunities and outcomes for all of our pupils is something that we strive to achieve each and every day. It makes Barndale a very unique place to work.
