The North Northumberland branch was set up in 2016 and since then, they've been supporting autistic children, young people and adults, as well as their families.
NAS are a welcoming group of parents and carers all with a link to autism, spread over the generations. As well as regular meetings and talks, they also run forest schools and occasional outings. Their main remit is for parents not to feel isolated either pre or post diagnosis – meeting people in a similar position can be empowering. NAS also signpost to other activities happening in the area.
